With Banners Held High returns this May for the general strike 100th anniversary.

The parade will assemble at 10.45am at Smyth Street WF1 1ED, with the parade starting at 11.30am, finishing at WX by 12.30pm.

Following their parade through the city centre, join With Banners Held High for an afternoon of speakers and live music!

Speakers include:

  • Sharon Graham (Unite)
  • Andrea Egan (Unison)
  • Jo Grady (UCU)
  • Eddie Dempsey (RMT)

Musicians including Joe Solo, Lewis Pugh, Sally Cinnamon and more!

4pm to 6pm: After the main event, attendees are invited to stay a little longer and enjoy music from the talented Tim Howard who will be performing a mixed-genre set of well-loved covers.

Hailing from Wakefield, Tim is an accomplished vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, specialising in pedal steel guitar alongside electric and acoustic guitar, banjo, dobro, bass, double bass and mandolin.
