Uh oh, the dinosaurs have escaped the park and are on the loose in WX … again!
In May half-term, some jurassic fun is coming to Wakefield Exchange – best of all, everything is free!
Here’s what you can expect from Dinosaur Week…
Everyday Activities
Little Dinos
Little dinos can get stuck into our dinosaur pit… sand pit that is! Plus, there will be colouring and dino themed play. Intrepid rangers can zip about on our miniature jeep safari, too.
Big Dinos
Big dinos can immerse themselves in the prehistoric world, with a roar-some VR experience!
'Dino Trek' brings you up close and personal with the giant beasts that once roamed the earth.
Please note: This experience lasts 5 – 6 minute and is drop in only. A queue system will be in operation. This experience is aimed at older kids, however for younger ones, a playful 'Dino Rollercoaster' experience will also be available.
Daily Events
Saturday 23 May, 11am-3pm
Children make their own dinosaur-themed slime, creating footprints using cutters and dinosaur shapes in this highly sensory and engaging workshop (great for SEND).

Dino Film Club: The Land Before Time

Sadly the age of the dinosaurs is ending… but there’s still fun to be had as Sid, Diego and Manfred tackle the challenges of the world plunged into the Ice Age!
Wednesday 27 May, 9.30am-10am
Stretch those tiny arms in this fun, playful pilates session. The session is aimed at children, but adult dinosaurs are encouraged to join in when accompanying children.
This session is free, but we ask that you book your place so we are able to gauge numbers. Pilates mats will be available, but please do feel free to bring your own.
