Wakefield Youth Producers and Promoters present: Musumba, De'orah and Karis Amber.

Wakefield Youth Producers and Promoters is empowering young LGBTQ+ people to shape the city's music scene and create new opportunities for young performers.

De'orah

De'orah is a UK-based artist/producer whose sound lives at the intersection of groove, soul, and fearless self-expression. Driven by deep bass lines and raw emotion, their music blends alternative R&B, soul, and experimental textures to create a sound that feels both vintage and forward-thinking.

Karis Amber

Karis Amber is an alt neo-soul artist based in Leeds. Blending her love of soul and trip hop, Karis blends melodic bedroom beats & raw vocals to create her moody sound.

Musumba

Musumba is a 21-year-old singer, songwriter and producer from Bradford, creating introspective synth-led bedroom pop and R&B.

Her music lives somewhere between memory and the present — hazy synths, intimate vocals and atmospheric production soundtracking the process of finding your way through life. Heartbreak, desire, loneliness, freedom and the strange beauty of becoming someone new all find their way into her songs.

There’s something deliberately intimate about Musumba’s world. Her production feels spacious and nocturnal, while her songwriting stays close to the skin — honest without giving everything away. Drawing from R&B, synth-pop and the textures of bedroom production, she creates music that feels nostalgic without belonging to any particular time.

For Musumba, making music is a way of waving herself through life — documenting the moments that are difficult to explain and turning them into something you can feel. Each song becomes another piece of the picture.

Now, with a new chapter unfolding, Musumba is stepping further into her own sound — less concerned with fitting somewhere and more interested in creating somewhere of her own.
